Ebay

I remember the time when your only contact with other crafters, was through magazines, subscriptions and craft shows. It's amazing, what has happened in just a few years, considering the use of the internet.

With the internet, the whole world opens up to the most reclused of us all.

Ebay can be a wonderful tool, to help us make a living with our own talents. One word of caution, though, when it comes to ebay. Wait to open a store, until you feel more confident in your sales being enough to cover all the costs. You can find yourself buried in fees and puting out more than you're making. So just take it one step at a time.

Sample the market, at different times of the year, to see what is selling. Hit on those holiday themes. Be sure to try different categories to find out where your product is getting the most views.

Absolutely, you need a digital camera and good pics of the product. Be sure the customer is getting what they see and keep the quality up there. Building a following and making friends, makes all the difference in the world.

It has also become much easier to contact retail outlets with your wholesale offers. Look up the individual shops online, by searching out city websites.

Here's hoping for all the best for everyone.
